Almost 27 Weeks

Wow am I doing awful this time awful, can't believe Wednesday I will be 27 weeks along, in the third trimester and still haven't taken a belly picture.  So many things are different this time around.  This has gone by fast, but I seem to be getting more and more comfortable a lot earlier on.  This baby seems ultra low and pretty much everything I wear besides dresses bother me.  Everytime I stand up  I feel like I have to pee whether I just went 5 minutes ago or not, very annoying! Since we already have one child, he keeps us busy and we aren't constantly thinking and talking about the next baby since we are busy with Noah.  I can't believe I still haven't bought one single outfit for the next baby, that's so unlike me.  I will need to go shopping for Carson before too long because since he will be born at the end of August/ or early September he will need newborn to prob 3  months summer clothes for a little while in the beginning until he can wear Noah's clothes which he started out in winter stuff.  I also can't wait to get  the boys matching outfits.  That will definitely be a photo op!  I just love saying the boys, I think it sounds cute!  I still haven't figured out their room yet.  Noah is still in his crib and will be until Carson is born since we plan on keeping Carson in our room for awhile.  So i their room is not on the top priority list right now but will have to move it up there soon.  I have been looking for fabric off and on because I have still thought about making them matching bedding but still not sure about time and how much I could really do.  I did find one set at Target I really liked that came in toddler and crib bedding but I hate to spend that much  buying a new crib set when we already have one and it keeps going unavailable anyway so I can never catch it when you can buy all the pieces.  So for now the future boy's room will be left unpainted and undecorated until we decide what we are going to do in there.  After awhile the plain room will eventually truly drive me crazy and make me make a decision and also when it gets closer I'm sure I'll be freaking out about not having a room ready for them.  Maybe we will get a belly photo by 30 weeks, haha!

My next appointment is a week from Thursday.  I will be 28 weeks, and get to get a shot, do the glucose and  my last planned ultrasound.   It will be a long appointment but at least we will get to see Carson again and hopefully get some better pictures this time since last time he was too curled up!

Baby Name

Well I think we have a name picked out, notice I said think!  We have been tossing around names for the last month and Carson is the one that has stuck so far.  I think we are set on it, but with us you never know. Since we used Matthew as Noah's middle name I kind of wanted a special middle name for this boy too so I was  thinking of using Robert, since it's my dad and grandpa's first name as well as Matthew's dad and grandpa's first name as well.  What a family name, right?  Well problem is I don't really like Carson Robert, it's okay just not my favorite combo.  Matthew likes Carson Riley, but I think he also likes the idea of using Robert too.  So middle name we are really unsure of, which seems to be  pattern.  We changed Noah's middle name many times and even last minute in the hospital so we  might just wait again and see what happens.  Carson doesn't have the coolest meaning or anything it means "christian"  which is good but not the ideal name meaning.  However, it is better than any other name I liked, I think that is why Matthew likes it since it is a name that actually means something besides "son of Hudd"  like Hudson does.  (that was the name I really liked, minus the meaning) So for now I'm saying we are going to name baby #2 Carson ??? Jones.

It's a Boy!!

As you can see, we are definitely having another boy!  I am truly excited, I think so many people think I really wanted a girl since we already have a boy.  I see so many good things with having 2 boys though.  They will be close so can be great playmates for each other (hopefully).  I'm sure I will have days where they will have me wanting to pull my hair out but I can't wait to see them playing and growing up together.  Second another boy is so much better for our budget.  With buying a new house and stuff for it, and not expecting to have another baby this year things will definitely be tighter than other years so this will be good.  This baby might be able to wear some of Noah's stuff but a lot of it will probably be off seasons a little however after this year we should be set since Noah is now to the age where he is staying in stuff longer.  Plus girl clothes are so cute and irresistable so I won't be as tempted to buy as much.  Now we just have to come up with a name.. The hard part, I have a list of names I like but none of them have good meanings and that just really means a lot of Matthew so we will see what we come up with.

On another note all looks great.  Baby was in a ball and at first she said she didn't know if she would be able to tell.. I panicked a little I just had to know but then she saw it almost right away.  That was the only thing he wanted to show off was his little boy part.  Everything else he tried to keep hidden.  They couldn't get a good look at the spine, brain and everything they really wanted to but said it all looks good from what they could see. Baby is 11 ounces and right on track.  I'm hoping he stays that way and doesn't grow into a 9lb baby like his brother.   I gained 3 lbs since my last visit 4 weeks ago, bummer.  I have already gained more than  I wanted.  Sooo frustrating.  I gained way too much with Noah and really wanted to keep it down this time, especially since I didn't loose all my weight from him.  We have been so busy and have had so much going on, I just haven't had time to work out like I wanted .  Now with the next month my time is still looking pretty slim.  Also I'm still extremely tired, I don't remember it sticking around this long and this bad last time.  However I realize this is a different pregnancy and things are different with each one so this one I think is just more calm and wants me to get more rest.  This one already seems a lot less active.  That could easily change in the next few weeks though.  My goal for the next few weeks is just to keep my sanity and get some workouts in and get my weight back on track for the rest of my 20 weeks.  I can't believe I am already halfway there and hopefully maybe a little more.  ( still hopefully for a baby a little earlier)

18 Weeks

Time sure is flying by with this pregnancy. Today I am 18 weeks along.  2 weeks from tomorrow we will be finding out the sex and I couldn't be more excited.  It seems so much more real once you know what it is and can start buying clothes and planning for the baby.  I cannot wait. If we are having a girl well we will really need to get some stuff but even if it's a boy it won't be born in the middle of winter like Noah was so it will definitely need a few items for warmer weather! Also once we know what it is, we can really start trying to figure out a name.  I have quite a list for each right now, but figured we'd wait until we knew before trying to get it down to one on the boy and girl lists.  I still haven't taken any belly pics yet, so I really need to get on that.  But in all honestly I really don't want them this time around.  Maybe once I get halfway and the belly is a little more pregnant I will break down and let Matthew take one.  Right now I'm still at that annoying fat stage, not feeling like the belly is completely pregnant yet.  All my current clothes are getting incredibly small and all the maternity is still way too big.  It's such a waste buying clothes for the in between since I won't be there very long. So I'm just pretty much uncomfortable in clothes and have nothing to wear.  It's only a stage though, I will get to wear maternity soon.  Now it sounds great but I remember with Noah I got so tired of wearing stretchy pants and weird waistbands!  I couldn't wait for regular clothes again!  So far all is still good and we are looking forward to seeing baby #2 on that wonderful screen and hearing it's strong heartbeat and hoping it cooperates to show us what sex he/she is!

16 Weeks

This afternoon I went to the doctor for my 16 week appointment.  A little over a week ago I felt the baby move, and then felt it the next day, but haven't since then.  This causes my mind of course to start thinking.  I know we are past the first trimester but I know that doesn't mean anything couldn't happen.  Today I got to relax and put my mind at ease.  We did the normal weight check, blood pressure and then doctor listened to the heartbeat.  Sounded Great and this time a little lower than last so for those of you who were thinking girl it was more a boy heartbeat this time.  I don't really pay attention to that anyway because Noah had a girl heartbeat the whole time.  I also had to get some blood drawn, and hopefully won't have to get stuck again for awhile.  I really hate that!  Today I also got to schedule my next sonogram at 20 weeks.  So excited that we will hopefully get to find out on April 21st.  Bummed that it seems so far away right now but as busy as we are the next couple months hoping it flies by!  This time around haven't been very good on the belly pictures.  In fact we haven't taken any.  I just feel so fat already this time around.   I am still in all my regular clothes but they definitely are not looking good! I hate the in between stage!  Maybe we will get a picture soon if I have a good day, haha!

13 Weeks

Wednesday I was officially 13 weeks along!  Out of the first trimester, so that's exciting!  It's amazing how nausea wise I felt much better but all the other fun pregnancy stuff is already here and in full swing from last time.  Back always hurts, legs always hurt, bathroom trips are frequent and always include a few at night.  Noah just started sleeping through the night again the last few weeks because we have been on a rollercoaster with that forever, but I still don't get to sleep through the night between tossing and turning from my back and bathroom breaks.  That is something I look forward to in maybe a year or more from now, consistently sleeping through the night again.  Boy it's been awhile!  Oh well, it will all be worth it  come Sept or maybe end of August (wishfully thinking).

I have gained 1 lb so far, 1 more than I would have liked!  I want to try and be cautious this time, I still have weight from Noah I haven't lost so I already hate that I'm adding onto that instead of my old weight.  I'm getting to where I already feel wider and my stomach just is starting to seem pudgy.  No bump yet, just the in between stage I hated last time!  One thing that is really stressing me out is being huge in the summer.  I know we will be swimming a lot and Noah will probably love it this summer.  I don't want to miss out so I guess I will just look like a whale and have to deal with it.  The other day I got a Victoria Secret swimsuit magazine, that about made me sick.  That got thrown in the trash pretty quickly, I didn't need to be reminded that I will not be wearing anything close to whats in there!

This time around I haven't done nearly as much as last time.  We have all the major stuff and there isn't a registry to work on or anything like that.  Between always cleaning the house to keep it upkept for showings  and Noah we stay plenty busy anyway.  We will be finding out again what the sex of this baby is so probably sometime toward the end of April we will be finding out.  Then maybe I will have a little to do.  If it's a boy again, I will plan on keeping  the same bedding but we will need some clothes since the baby will be off seasons from Noah.  If it's a girl, I'm hoping to get new bedding and of course I would need a few pink things!  Either way I would be thrilled, I would love to have one of each but I also would love to have a brother/playmate for Noah, so we will just have to wait and see.  Just praying for heatlh, that's the most important thing anyway!

First Sonogram

This morning I had my first ultrasound for baby #2.  I was excited to get the chance to see our little one and just to get piece of mind and also to see that there was only 1 baby.  The first trimester is always so scary, I've never had any problems yet, but know so many people who have.  I truly was counting my blessings today, when they said the wonderful words, "everything looks great".  From the ultrasound we were right on track with how far along we thought we were, exactly 12 weeks today. The heartbeat was good also at 159 beats per minute.   We got some great pictures too!  At Noah's 12 week ultrasound the pictures hardly looked like a baby at this point and you couldn't really see much, but I was quite impressed with how much we could see this time.  We got pictures of the hands, feet, legs and some 3D images as well, which we didn't get with Noah until 20 weeks.  Here are the first pictures of him/her!

Being shy already, covering it's face!  It still has little nubs, but they are still cute!

We are Expecting Baby #2

Today is January 18th, I'm not going to publish this yet, but wanted to blog about this baby like we did Noah.  On January 7th we found out I was pregnant I kind of had a feeling before this but didn't actually take any tests until that day.  After 3 positive ones throughout the day it was pretty clear.  This did come as a surprise, totally unexpected but I am now excited.  I wasn't upset just surprised and it completely caught me off guard.  I kind of had a plan in my mind of when we would have the next one.  That is something I have learned through the years, my plan isn't always the best so I'm trusting God on this one and he knows better than me!  I do not go to the doctor until February 2nd, so we are waiting to tell everyone.  From the online calculators I will be due on September 9th but we will wait to get our date from the doctor for sure.  Noah's birthday party was on January 8th and we did use the occasion to tell our family at his party.  He first started the day wearing a shirt with his name and a big number 1, then after his cake his aunts changed his shirt and brought him out in a big brother tshirt.  It took awhile but everyone eventually caught on. The night before I had went to Kohl's to try and find one with no luck, I found one but the smallest size was a 2T.  I guess no one expects a boy who wears a size 12 month tshirt would be a big brother, haha.  I was hoping this pregnancy I would feel better than with Noah but so far no such luck.  I have had morning (all day sickness)  pretty much every day since I found out and even a little before.  I don't remember it starting this early with Noah but it probably did.  I also was instantly tired again.  I never take naps during the week when Noah does but a couple days he has just had me wiped out and I took one when he went down.  I have been trying to go to bed earlier as well and thankfully Noah has finally been doing great at night so full nights sleep for me really helps.  Well that's it for today, we will keep the updates on baby #2 coming!
