Good News!!
Noah is Paci Free!!
For awhile now Noah has only had his pacifier at naps and bedtime and did fine with just having it then. We wanted to wein him earlier but decided to let him have it until Carson was born, then after he was born we figured we should probably wait a little longer until Noah was used to having Carson around. We didn't want to put him through too many things at once. I have heard of all sorts of different ways people have broke their kids of the pacifier and one was taking a drive and throwing it out the window which I had contemplated. Well Matthew didn't think we needed to be so dramatic and thought he would be fine with us just not giving it to him. Well we tried and for a few days he would whine at night when we didn't get it for him but only for a minute and he would be done. Naptime was a little worse, he cried for a little longer and threw a couple fits but it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. It acutally was rather easy. Now it has been almost a week now and last night he didn't even point to where the pacifiers used to be like he was doing. He laid down and went to bed like a big boy! Matthew was right, it was rather easy and he didn't need us to do anything dramatic to get rid of it.

Better.....But still not Great!
This boy sure is cute, but at night I can't see that cuteness.. All I see is the clock and know that I want to be sleeping!
Anyways after he woke up at 1 he made it another longer stretch until 4. It was only 3 hours, but usually after his first stretch he's up every 2 so that was better in my book. The night still wasn't perfect but much better than we have had. I'm hoping (fingers crossed) we are only going to get better from here!
Sweetness
This weekend Aunt Randi was outside with Noah and started taking some pictures of him. Then Carson and I joined in. After taking some of Noah we had asked him to hug his brother. He sure did and didn't want to let go. Lately he has been getting sweeter and sweeter with him. The other night after bathtime, we had Carson laying on the floor and Noah went, lay down right next to him and put his arm across Carson's belly. About made me cry, it was so sweet and I was so proud of Noah for being nice to Carson. I wish I could of caught that on video or in a picture. Oh well, we got some good ones yesterday, I think I'm going to frame a few. I just love the ones with Noah hugging Carson.
I tell you this two children stuff is getting much better. There for awhile many days I wondered how I was going to do this but this last week has gotten so much better. Most of the time I feel like I can do this now without losing my mind completely. I may not get as much done, my house may not always be clean, but I have two wonderful, heatlhy, cute little boys. One of which can be the funnest kid I've ever met. Carson is still too young to tell but I know he will have a personality all of his own and will be just as fun in his own way! I love these two boys and am blessed to be their mom!

6 Weeks
We love our cute little 6 week old boy!
He sure has grown a lot since he was born and looking more and more like his brother every day.
He is starting to be awake more and more each day, and his smiling has become a lot more frequent as well. Now if we could just get him to sleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time at night it would be great (hint, hint Carson)
Week in the life of the Jones
One Sunday we went to the Fire Departments Open House and Noah got to take home a fire hat. I was surprised he actually has been putting it on and off from time to time. He has always hated hats.
Our picky son one night found some apples in the cabinet and suprisingly decided to try it, bit right in and loved it. Kept eating it until he got to the core and we had to stop him from eating that.
Carson taking a bath, he likes his froggy washcloth that helps keep him warm. We had got this for Noah because he hated the bath, it has helped so much for both boys!
Noah chilling in daddy's car, he loves sitting in front seat of cars (while they are stopped only of course) this afternoon Matthew let Noah hang out in the car for awhile and when he did take him out, he threw a fit. Who knew that would of been so much fun!
Carson snoozing, what he still does a lot
Noah made a mess like he does each day. He spilled his mini cheeze it's all over the floor and then decided to eat them on the floor without picking them out.
Noah cracking himself up, at his splashing. each day our bathroom gets a bath as well as the boys!
Our boys hanging out. Carson was on the play mat, and Noah decided to lay by him while he watched Mickey. He always has to be close to him! So cute!!
I thought I was busy with one, our life is actually really busy with two. Each day is a new adventure with these two boys. They sure do keep me moving.
Love them!
Knew this day would come
This boy finally did it, he got out of his bed after nap on his own. Noah has been in his big boy bed about 2 months now and has never got out when he woke up in the morning or from naptime. He usually stays in there for awhile before he really even complains, and in the morning I can use the extra time some days so I usually let him stay in there until he whines. After naptime I always leave him in there until he yells because if he isn't ready to get up, he is usually pretty grumpy. Well today I was out in the living room and heard a door, I knew I should either be scared or it was Noah and sure enough a few seconds later I see my big boy walking in the room with about 4 of his burp cloths and a pacifier. (the pacifier he still only gets during bedtime, but not for long) I couldn't believe it, but I knew it was bound to happen some day. Just one more things that makes our boy seem so much bigger. I'm hoping this doesn't make bedtime difficult at nap or evening because right now it has been so nice just putting him down and that's the end of it. I'm hoping we don't start fighting and him getting out and playing or just not staying in there. Well bedtime tonight went fine, he's still in there so we will see how tomorrow goes with the morning and naptime!
