What have we been up to?

Nothing too exciting has been going on in the Jones household, just hanging out with our boys!

Noah has a new fascination with Carson's walker and jumperoo, he loves to get in them for some reason.  The other night he got in and was actually chewing on a teether.. Silly boy!
Last week he tried to carry the jumperoo in the living room until I took over and brought it in the rest of the way, showed me where to put it , told me to put Carson in, then he got in the walker, and said cheese.  He wanted to play by Carson and thought I needed to take his picture.  That is our boss of a 2 year old, he thinks he runs this house.  (If I'm completely honest, these boys pretty much do control the shots)

Our little cutie, can't believe he will be 6 months already next week!
Carson sitting by his brother, Noah decided to lay down for some reason and of course Carson had to check him out!
Noah loves getting in Carson's bed and hanging out with him.  This morning he had to get in and play with little man before I got him up.

Carson was playing with toys, Noah in his true fashion threw them all away from him, got a book out and decided that is what they were going to do instead.  I know we are going to hear some interesting convos between these two someday.  I can already hear Noah bossing Carson and  telling him what they are going to do all day
I know I have said this a lot but Noah is just seeming to grow up so fast lately.  He is always paying attention to what I say even if he doesn't act like it.  Whenever I'm telling Matthew about something he did that day, he will re do it, or he's always imitating what we say.  Last night he heard Mater say
"well shoot" on Cars and guess what the big boy said.  Yeah.. not so awesome!

A few weeks ago we were driving home from Wal-Mart and Noah was just looking out the window, saw our office, pointed to it and and said daddy.  Little smarty pants is always paying attention, I couldn't believe he knew it from the road.  We went there again tonight and as soon as we pulled in he said daddy and got so excited.  That boy loves his dad.

This morning, I gave Noah a random kiss like I always do, and he got mad at me and tried to wipe it off.  I was so surprised I'm not ready for him to do things like that, he seemed so old in that moment.  I then fake cried, he felt bad and I got some kisses out of the deal so it wasn't awful, haha.

He also has a thing with ouchie's and everytime he gets one I have to kiss it.  Not sure how we started that but it sure did stick.  Today at Walmart he decided I needed to kiss his ouchie that he had gotten a few hours before not once but about 5 times.

I could go on and on, but Noah you fill our days with wonderful moments, and some tantrums in between but at  the end of the day it's your adorable smile I remember and look forward to each morning!

Not leaving Carson out on accident, since he's turning 6 months Wednesday we'll save his stories  and happenings until then!

Rolling

Carson finally has rolled from his back to belly this week, which I still have yet to see for myself.  He has been going from side to side for a little while but hasn't ever made the flip until I was gone on Wednesday night he did it twice for Matthew.  Then Thursday he did it multiple times for Nana Jill but didn't do it at all last night for us.  Then this morning I left Carson on his playmat on his back, went to go get dressed, came back and he was playing on him stomach. Little turkey waited for me to leave.  I know I will see him soon, but can't believe I keep missing it.

He also is getting better and better at sitting up.  I still sit behind him or have my hands close because he still falls, but is doing pretty good.  We have his pictures next week and really wanted him to be able to sit up for them so have to work on that these next few days.

Now if we could only get him to sleep through  the night or take more than 2-3 oz of bottle at a time during the day..... A girl can dream right!!

Noah's New Words

Noah has a little obsession these days with the movie Cars and Toy Story and everything that has to go with it.  It's actually still really cute to me.  He loves his Woody character and he has a buzz shake and go.  He calls them both by name.  A lot of  times when he watches Toy Story he likes to have Woody sit right by him and he has had to take Woody when we leave, to meal times and to bed lately.  And the last week he has wanted Woody in the bath, which we couldn't let him do since Woody talks and it would ruin his batteries, so Woody sits on the bathroom counter and watches.  He also loves to run around and make Woody talk to things and people and just run around with him.  It's pretty much adorable.

Then with Cars, he is pretty much playing with them majority of the day.  He has some little ones a few bigger stuffed ones that talk and loves them all.  Hit cute thing lately was that he was imitating Lightening McQueen and says Kachow, but then Thursday morning we were leaving Kohls and he had Tow Mater and Lightening and the crew with him in his car seat and I swore he said "Dad Gum" Mater's famous phrase from the movie.  I wasn't sure so I waited a few minutes and asked him what Mater said to see if he would say it again, sure enough he did and has been saying the last few days.  It has been cracking me up.  He has been such a little sponge listening and paying attention to everything.  Him picking up on stuff like that from movies makes me a little nervous just realizing how much he really does understand and that he is starting to really pay attention to all the words people and I say.

He is definetly in his "explosion" as the doctor called it where he will really start talking, because he is saying new things every day and making us proud!

Tagged

Steph from Buttons and Bows tagged me in this fun blogging game so here goes.

Name some Random facts about yourself

If you are a parent: what is one thing you said you would never do when you have kids but now you do.
I hated when my mom wiped my face with her saliva.  It didn't take long and I have done the same thing with Noah many, many times already and he's only 2.  I can't believe I have followed in those tracks.

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging when I was pregnant with Noah, it was becoming the thing a lot of people did to document their pregnancy and updates on their kids so I joined the bandwagon.  I fell in love and will be using all my blogging of the kids for their baby books.  Each year I'm printing out all the blog posts that have to do with them and blog2print prints it off for you and makes a customized book out of it.  I have Noah's first year printed so far and it turned out great!

What is your favorite blog of someone you don't know in real life?
I have been following a lot of decorating/ organizing blogs lately and I don't know any of the writers of them.  One of my favorites (she makes me a little jealous) is someone who is also named Jennifer Jones and her blog is http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.com/

If I had a whole day to myself what would  I do?
I actually had this not to long ago and did a bunch of things on my to do list, some cleaning, organizing and a few little projects.  I hope to have another soon, because the list sure is growing fast again and I keep adding instead of crossing anything off.  I think next time I would schedule some time in for sewing, I have a stack of projects downstairs that need some starting/finishing!

Now I'm tagging

Randi at Just the 2 of Us
Cynthia at A day in the life of the Sidwells
Kacie at Keeping up with the Jones
Amy at A Little bit of Life
And anyone else who wants to join

In your blog posts
List a few random things about you
And answer the following questions
What is your favorite current hobby?
If you could go anywhere for a vacation where would it be?
What is the first thing you would do if you won a million dollars?
Why did you start blogging?
What is your current favorite blog to follow?

Have Fun!

Our New Fun

Noah was playing with Woody from Toy Story the other night and it was so cute.  He was galloping around the house like Andy does in the movie and carrying/swinging Woody around.   Then for some reason he decided he wanted to get in Carson's crib and bring Woody with him. (some things just aren't worth fighting so we let him)  Then once he was in there for a few minutes he decided Carson needed to get in there with him.   At first Carson enjoyed just chilling and watching his big brother (one of his favorite things to do).
Then before long Noah like usual decided to go and get all up in Carson's business. He just loves giving kisses and getting really close to him
I tried getting  them both to smile, again pretty much impossible and  I got Noah's cheese face.  We tell Noah to say cheese, which he does but he also give you this fake smile!  Either way we are still blessed to have these fun and cute little boys to spend our nights with!

Getting Close

Carson is getting close to being able to sit up. He loves being up and able to see all the action in our house, and there sure is a lot with his 2 year old brother always running around.  He will sit for short periods at a time but if he moves too much or gets excited he usually falls over pretty soon.  I think he is going to love sitting up.  He is really getting an interest in things and all his toys so I think he will be a happy camper being able to sit up and play and watch Noah.

Loves those burp cloths just like his brother!

Weekend Trip

This past weekend Matthew and I took Noah up to see his cousin Micah and we got to visit with Uncle Nathan and Aunt Kacie in Peoria.  Carson got to stay at home with his aunts who took great care of him.  It is so much easier traveling with Noah now than it used to be.  I know it's only 2 1/2 hours but Noah did great.  Saturday night we took the boys out to eat and to Monkey Joe's.  Dinner went great and the boys had a blast at Monkey Joe's.  We took some pictures of the boys enjoying jumping and lots of sliding!

Sorry the pictures got messed up and I couldn't them to be in the right order

After we got home we let the boys take a bath and play with some bubbles, then afterwards they did some playing and hanging out in some ottomans, haha!

The boys had a blast in the tub splashing and kicking their feet together making waves!  It was so cute to see  them laughing and giggling together!
Hanging out in the Cars chair/bed before we left on Sunday morning, such cute boys!

Noah loves all of his cousins so much but since Micah doesn't live in town he doesn't see him very often!  We had a great weekend and thanks Nathan and Kacie for being such great hosts!
