Outside Fun

Last weekend, was awesome, period.  It was perfect weather!  We spent all sorts of time outside, just playing in the yard, going on walks, attempted the park, enjoying some homewood and even cooked out some porkburgers and had a picnic in the backyard.  This weekend unfortunately is about the opposite but we are looking forward to warm again, whenever it may come!  I loved getting to let Noah wear some new shirts, I am getting so tired of all the winter ones!  This week we had to go back though, bummer.  Anyways caught a few pics from all the outdoor fun!

Hanging out at the park, didn't last long though.  He wasn't really into swinging, he was a little cranky because he just woke up from a nap, we probably should have waited a little while.  We will have to try again once it warms up again because I really thought he would love it this year!

Sunday we hung out at Dad and Dinah's for a little while after lunch.  We tried the trampoline and that was a no go.  I know he's a little young but thought we would try anyway.
Then dad got out Katie's old shopping cart out of the attic, wow did he love that.  He was pushing it everywhere.  They have the perfect driveway for it too, he could have gone a lot farther than he did.  We had to watch him though after awhile he wanted to start running it into things like the cars in the driveway, not good!  We became the targets instead.
It was nice getting a taste of summer, but now it makes me want it here to stay even more.  It was so nice getting outside and Noah just loved it.

Our Big boy!

Wow, how I love the stage Noah is at right now but it makes me sad at the same time.  He just seems and looks so old lately. He is still seeming to learn something every day.  It never fails that I say something not expecting a reaction but instead I get one.  Yesterday I was going to start some laundry not knowing he knew what downstairs was, I said Noah let's go downstairs and he ran right over to the basement door.  I know he loves stairs but didn't really realize he knows where the door to ours is.  Things like this happen almost every day.

Noah has been super into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse shows lately.  We don't have cable but we can watch episodes on disney.com.  As soon as I say Mickey or he sees the website he just lights up with that big smile and little giggle.  So cute!   I love that I have something he loves to watch in desperate times ,but also wishes he didn't love it so much.  A lot of times he won't play and he just brings the keyboard to me, to put it on and grunts until I do so.  We are going to have to start limiting Mickey time  and just deal with the fits.  He does look so cute when he's watching and he gets pretty snuggly if you want to when he 's watching it.  So because of that I don't always mind, he has never been a cuddler and now he lets me do all I want when thats on.  It's amazing.  Sometimes he actually will try to get me to sit down so he can sit on my lap.  He thinks he is quite the boss these days he is always trying to push me up off the floor to get juice or push me out of a room when he wants me to go where he is, he thinks he knows how to get what he wants.

Here are some pictures of him watching his favorite!

Yesterday I was trying to do some dust mopping in all the bedrooms and he wanted it to so bad so after I was done I took the pad off of it and let him play with it.  It was so funny, he did it just like me, even tried to get under everything.  I think he is a lot like his mommy, he definitely doesn't like messes!

Couldn't get this one to flip for some reason but had to show off he tongue, he is really concentrating, haha!

Watching Mickey again, he sat in here for the whole 24 minute episode and didn't want to get out.  I think it's time to get him his own chair!

Not sure what we would do without this boy.

Noah's 1 Year Pictures

A few weeks ago we had a few family pictures and Noah's 1 year pictures taken.  He was actually almost 15 months but that's okay it just never worked out before.  I went with a lot of ideas in my head of some pictures I wanted to get.  Well I should have been thinking about my sons personality when I thought of them because then I would have known, we wouldn't get most of them.  Noah cooperated for a short time and then all he wanted to do was run all over the studio.  Everytime we tried to do something he just got angry and threw mini fits.  Therefore we just let him run and tried to get some of his typical faces and some personality in the pictures instead.  Steffen did a great job capturing all his different expressions he gives so often and does great with editing as well.  There were so many I loved it was hard to choose, which ones to get.  I also didn't want typical pictures of the 3 of us since we will be adding another one in September so I was glad that we got a couple of each of us with him so that way we won't be leaving the next baby out if we leave them hanging up for awhile.  Once baby #2 gets here we will have to get a lot of family pictures since we won't be planning on adding to our family right away after that.

Here are a few of my favorites....

16 Weeks

This afternoon I went to the doctor for my 16 week appointment.  A little over a week ago I felt the baby move, and then felt it the next day, but haven't since then.  This causes my mind of course to start thinking.  I know we are past the first trimester but I know that doesn't mean anything couldn't happen.  Today I got to relax and put my mind at ease.  We did the normal weight check, blood pressure and then doctor listened to the heartbeat.  Sounded Great and this time a little lower than last so for those of you who were thinking girl it was more a boy heartbeat this time.  I don't really pay attention to that anyway because Noah had a girl heartbeat the whole time.  I also had to get some blood drawn, and hopefully won't have to get stuck again for awhile.  I really hate that!  Today I also got to schedule my next sonogram at 20 weeks.  So excited that we will hopefully get to find out on April 21st.  Bummed that it seems so far away right now but as busy as we are the next couple months hoping it flies by!  This time around haven't been very good on the belly pictures.  In fact we haven't taken any.  I just feel so fat already this time around.   I am still in all my regular clothes but they definitely are not looking good! I hate the in between stage!  Maybe we will get a picture soon if I have a good day, haha!

Enjoying the Outdoors

Is this weather awesome or what?  The last 2 days Noah and I have gotten to spend some time outside and it has been great! It's so nice to get out of the house and play for a bit!  I have loved seeing how he reacts to different things! Our driveway has concrete that is less than perfect with little holes in some places and he wouldn't walk normal for awhile he was like tip-toeing on it.  Then he was scared of the crack down the middle of the driveway and wouldn't walk over it, he just kept walking all the way down the drive on the one side right next to the line.  Then he would fall on his butt every once and awhile and he wouldn't use his hands to get back up because he didn't want to touch the dirty ground.  Poor boy takes after his mama!  He loves his wagon, but doesn't really like it on the road since it's pretty bumpy and loud on there.  He really enjoyed pushing the wagon himself too.  This afternoon after his nap I asked him if wanted to go outside, he went right to the front door and was ready to go out.  Once he did that I told him we needed to get his shoes on first and then he went right to his room to get shoes!  I still can't get over the things he learns every day.  My little boy seems so much bigger every day!

Big Boo Boo

This afternoon we had a scary little accident with Noah.  Matthew was out grilling some chicken and had put Noah on his mini swing in our backyard, then looked away to answer a question I asked and in 2 seconds Noah had fallen out before he even got a chance to buckle him in.  He fell flat on his face on the concrete and since he always has his tongue out of his mouth he bit really hard into it with his front teeth.  He didn't do anything for a few seconds then really started crying.  After Matthew saw all the blood coming out of his mouth he ran him in to me.  We took him right to the sink to try and figure out exactly what was bleeding and help stop it.  All of it was coming from his tongue which we really couldn't help.  It still just killed me seeing him and knowing that it hurt and there wasn't anything we could do.  After awhile we got him calmed down and got the chance to see his tongue.  Poor guy had some definite teeth marks, one side deeper than the other and a new bump on his forehead ( we had just got one on the other side the other day from falling on the driveway), and a big scrape on his chin.  I hate when they get hurt and it stinks because I know this won't be the last time over the next 18 years.  Seeing your child hurting is definitely the worse thing about being a parent!

Learning so many things!

Noah has been starting to pick up so many new things lately, it's like he's really starting to figure out the world.
-now when Nana Jill comes sometimes, he starts to whine and maybe cry for a second and gets a little lovey on me, he knows that means I'm leaving.  He loves his Nana but just knows it means I leave.  If that doesn't make it hard to leave I don't know what would
-loves his juice and knows it comes out of the fridge, he will go over to it and wait by the door when he starts asking for his juice
-watches people pull out of the driveway when they leave, he likes us to open the door so he can stand against the glass one, then after they are gone he closes the big front door.
-sometimes when we are getting his food ready he goes to the silverware drawer because he knows we will need a spoon from there.
-loves showing where his tongue is.  I know he knows the other face parts but is just too stubborn.  He also loves to grab my ear but it's mostly because I act like it tickles.  I have got him to do his and my nose as well but not on a regular basis, he usually ignores me.
-really understands no just chooses not to listen to it.  He will go to do something he knows he's not supposed to and looks at you shaking his head no.  When you ask him something he doesn't want to do he will also shake his head no.
-knows when I talk about his diaper what time it is or when I come out of his room with one, he starts to try and get away from me because he really hates diaper changes these days- he is just busy for that I guess
-knows that when he gets his shoes and jacket on we are going bye bye and waits by the back door if we take to long to leave after getting his stuff on
-goes to the bathroom when we tell him it's time for a bath
I know there's more but I know I'm not remembering them all
It just seems like everyday he does something and I'm like wow you understand that now!  He still isn't saying a lot of words but I know he at least understands them, we will just have to keep working on that part.
Boy, we loves this kid!  We just can't get enough of him.

13 Weeks

Wednesday I was officially 13 weeks along!  Out of the first trimester, so that's exciting!  It's amazing how nausea wise I felt much better but all the other fun pregnancy stuff is already here and in full swing from last time.  Back always hurts, legs always hurt, bathroom trips are frequent and always include a few at night.  Noah just started sleeping through the night again the last few weeks because we have been on a rollercoaster with that forever, but I still don't get to sleep through the night between tossing and turning from my back and bathroom breaks.  That is something I look forward to in maybe a year or more from now, consistently sleeping through the night again.  Boy it's been awhile!  Oh well, it will all be worth it  come Sept or maybe end of August (wishfully thinking).

I have gained 1 lb so far, 1 more than I would have liked!  I want to try and be cautious this time, I still have weight from Noah I haven't lost so I already hate that I'm adding onto that instead of my old weight.  I'm getting to where I already feel wider and my stomach just is starting to seem pudgy.  No bump yet, just the in between stage I hated last time!  One thing that is really stressing me out is being huge in the summer.  I know we will be swimming a lot and Noah will probably love it this summer.  I don't want to miss out so I guess I will just look like a whale and have to deal with it.  The other day I got a Victoria Secret swimsuit magazine, that about made me sick.  That got thrown in the trash pretty quickly, I didn't need to be reminded that I will not be wearing anything close to whats in there!

This time around I haven't done nearly as much as last time.  We have all the major stuff and there isn't a registry to work on or anything like that.  Between always cleaning the house to keep it upkept for showings  and Noah we stay plenty busy anyway.  We will be finding out again what the sex of this baby is so probably sometime toward the end of April we will be finding out.  Then maybe I will have a little to do.  If it's a boy again, I will plan on keeping  the same bedding but we will need some clothes since the baby will be off seasons from Noah.  If it's a girl, I'm hoping to get new bedding and of course I would need a few pink things!  Either way I would be thrilled, I would love to have one of each but I also would love to have a brother/playmate for Noah, so we will just have to wait and see.  Just praying for heatlh, that's the most important thing anyway!

Loves his daddy!

Noah loves his daddy so much, it melts my heart!  The other day Matthew was trying to get some yard work done and after Noah woke up from a nap noticed that daddy was outside so he walked over to the doors in the dining room to watch him.  And he did for around 30 minutes.  I couldn't believe it.  He would play with something every now and then but mostly just stood there and watched his dad.  Every now and then Matthew would come over and talk to him through the doors but I couldn't believe my active little boy just wanted to see his daddy outside.  So cute!  Then a few days after that Matthew was working and Noah was dad -dading around the house and went to the doors again to look for him.  He doesn't forget anything.  Unfortunately he wasn't there but I was surprised he thought to look for him in the backyard.  Our little boy is growing up!

                                                                     Watching his daddy!
My juice loving boy.  Every time I get the camera out now he has to walk towards it.  Makes getting good pictures hard!
