Loves my Boys so much!!!

Boy do I love my boys so much.  I love hanging out with them and love to see them play together! Noah loves his daddy so much and that is such a neat thing to witness!  I couldn't ask for a more special son or husband to spend my days with.

Noah enjoying his new hobby, throwing rocks in the pond at Nana Jill's and Papa Bob's.  He picks them up from the road and throws them in and gets so excited when he hits the water, little smarty pants!
In the middle of his happy dance, he flaps his arms and makes such a goofy face!

This morning we went to the park and Noah quickly met some little girls.  He is such a ladies man already.  I didn't get a picture of it but at first he was sitting at a table next to one of them.  So cute, she was 9 though so a little too old for him, haha!

Enjoying the slide, it was perfect too with the big landing at the bottom so he just stayed there when he was done, didn't have to catch him right away, down side boy did it have some static!
Noah loving the steps as usual, at home he always goes up and down on his knees/stomach but for some reason with the railings he thought he was big enough to go up and down them the big boy way.  He did really well.  He's getting so big so fast!  It's so funny at this age how they can do the same thing over and over and over.  We were getting a little bored watching him climb forever.  Our attention span on one thing just isn't nearly as long.

First Merry go round ride.  He loved it for some reason.   I can't handle those things anymore but at first he rode sitting by dad for awhile then it was just fun to run around on it, since it made loud noises.  It wasn't the nicest one for sure, definitely need some cleaning up but I let him be a boy and play on the dirty/muddy park toy!

Spinning round with dad.  So Cute!!  Love these two, soon to be 3!

Cousin Fun

Last week was another busy one, but sure was fun as well.  Noah loves kids, he loves kids his age but especially being around older kids.  I definitely need to get him around kids more often.  Nathan, Kacie, and Micah stayed with us some last week and we watched Micah for awhile on Wednesday and boy did the boys for the most part have fun!  It's so neat to see them interact and talk to each other.  Noah can be a little ornery at times, but did good most of the day.

One of his ornery moments taking Micah's pacifier away
The boys each sure love their dads but also loves the other one's dads. They are twins so I can understand how they think they are similar.  Micah most of the day wanted to be held by Matthew when he was around and Noah did good letting him.  Most of the time he was okay with it.  Noah is the same way around Nathan too, he wants him to hold him as well.  Funny how they know it's not their dad but they recognize they are really similar looking/acting to their dad.
We took them for a wagon ride, and they did really well until the end they decided they didn't want their feet touching anymore!  They even had a few conversations along the way and shared some giggles, wish I could have caught a pic/video of that!
Noah giving Micah a ride in the car, I was afraid when Micah got in, that WW3 would start but to my surprise Noah just went with it and started giving him a ride intstead of throwing a fit.  (proud moment of mine)
All the grandkids were in Amanda/ Trevor's wedding and we attempted to get some pictures with all of them.  Here are some of my attempts!  Haha!  Pretty much impossible to get all of them to sit/ smile and not be crying.  Love Amanda's face on this one, she was such a beautiful bride!

Noah's older cousins, Elijah and Issie teaching him how the water fountain works.  It didn't take long for them to get wet and we had to end the fun!
Practicing for the wedding, getting all 3 little boys in the wagon to go down the isle.  2 out of the 3       made it down but were also bribed with suckers!
Even though it was hectic at times with all the running and stuff going on it was a great week.  Now the rest of our summer is pretty empty, definitely looking forward to some family free time and getting ready for Carson's upcoming arrival!

Fathers Day

Boy did we have a busy Father's day!  We started the day by Noah letting us sleep in a little but then had to rush to get ready for church.  After church we ran a few errands then headed to my dads for awhile, then home for Noah to nap, then my other dads and then onto Matthew's dads later in the evening.  Boy are we blessed with such wonderful men in our lives!  At Matthew's parents Noah had his cousins to play with and boy did they have fun, running around outside, playing on the swingset, throwing rocks in the pond ( I think Noah's favorite) and then got to take a tractor ride.  They were all so cute up there.  I didn't get too many great pictures of them all looking and this one is a little blurry but I just loved it.   ( Noah was hot all day, he seems to get grumpy when he is hot so we had taken his shirt off earlier in the evening, he doesn't usually go shirtless, haha)

No more Bottles

So excited to announce Noah is bottle free!  Some of your know Noah hasn't always been the easiest child but I tell you that day by day he just keeps surprising us more and more.  Noah has never liked milk from a cup, and would only take it from a bottle well I kept putting off weining him from the bottle until we could get him to drink milk from a cup because I didn't want him to go without.  Well after trying off and on for months now I just decided we were going to do it and if he wouldn't drink it from a cup he would just go without.  I had just thought I would make sure he gets more calcium and protein from other things while we were working on this.  Well one night we started and he just threw the cup like usual and cried and instead of switching it to the bottle like we had done many nights we stood our ground and put him to bed without.  He stood in his crib crying for awhile so I went back in with the cup and then he decided to drink a little, not much but at least it was a start.  The next few days it was the same over and over would pretty much throw the cup everytime and not drink much if any.  After about 5 days he had pretty much not drank any milk at all so I thought I would try a little strawberry syrup in it.  I had tried it before but didn't work but you know with toddlers things change daily so I decided to try again.  Well I let him watch me mix it up one morning and his curiosity was spiked so he watched and then decided he would try it.  And this time he loved it.  Haven't had a problem since he will take the cup and drink it down in no time.  Since we already got him away from a nighttime bottle pretty much or drinking anything right before bed I have just kept it that way and we have been giving him his milk a little bit before bath so that way after we are done with bath, we just read books and put him down.  Is it perfect, no.  I would much rather him drink straight white milk, but it's a start and I figure we can gradually put less and less strawberry in it over time.  It's a step in the growing up direction at least.

Carson Jones

This morning I had my 28 week appointment and boy was it a long one!  First I had to take  the glucose drink,  had my sonogram, then it had already been an hour so they were ready to do the bloodwork, then waited for the doctor to do her quick check, then had my rhogram shot and finally 2 hours later I was ready to leave.  I was little nervous for this sonogram, usually they don't do the last one until 32 weeks but they wanted to do it early to get the measurements and look baby over again since at our 20 week one he was too scrunched up and they couldn't see much.  I guess it made me nervous that she requested we do it earlier.  However, he looked great and the biggest surprise was that so far he is tiny baby.  Dr. Haller had already told me she was going to be watching his weight and didn't want me to have another baby as big as Noah so I was really hoping to go early.  Today when she came into the room after my sonogram the first thing she said was I'm so surprised looks like we have a little guy this time.  Now not little that she is worried just not a big chunky boy like Noah was.  So far Carson weights 2lbs and 5 oz and she said that is about the 35th percentile, unlike Noah who was always around the 90th.  I do also have 12 weeks left though so I am aware that their measurements could sometimes be off and also that's a long time for baby boy to grow a lot.  So I would love to have a 7lb baby, but not counting on it completely yet.
Noah was low but I feel like Carson has been even lower and we learned today that's he still breech just like his brother was at this point. Still lots of time to flip so not worried yet.
I have had a lot more and more intense Braxton Hicks contractions with Carson than I ever did with Noah.  Dr. said this could be because he is still breech and a lot of people say that after their first so not abnormal.  Again I was hoping this meant I would be going early, doesn't exactly mean anything I guess, darnit!  I am in the bathroom I think, more than I'm not, I feel like all I do is pee somedays.  Completely ready for that part to be over with!
So each week we are getting closer and closer and excited to know that all still looks/sounds great.  We will be meeting Carson before we know it.  He still didn't really want to show off his face much today, this one loves to have those arms by his face.  He had them there last time as well.  She did manage to get a few face pics of our newest little cutie pie.  Matthew thinks Carson looks alot more like me, but only time will tell.  I think most babies in these 3D ones look alike so I won't be doing any comparing yet.
Lastly, Carson finally has a few of his own clothes, last Sunday I bought the first few items for him.  We still definitely need more for right when he's born but not worried, have plenty of time to find some before he arrives!

Our New House

It's finally home sweet home!

The walkout basement, that I love! And you can see the deck above and patio below.  Furniture to come someday!

The living/great room.  Pretty much the only finished room in the house.  We still need to mount the TV sometime and put up a clock I bought for above the TV that I love, but that's all minor.
My favorite part, no walls in between the living spaces.  One big space for the                   kitchen/dining/living rooms
None of the other rooms are finished yet.  In case you want to see more, I did post an album of the whole house on facebook.  I  will wait until each room is done to put them on here.  We have lots of little things to work on over the next few months.

Noah at 17 Months

Can't believe one month from now Noah will be a 1 1/2 years.  Then soon after we he will be 20 months and Carson will be joining us here on the outside.

Noah has been up to a lot lately

- He is all  boy, he loves throwing, pushing and knocking everything over and does it with a grunt!  We have been trying to work on what we throw and what we don't and what we throw things at.  Windows and fireplaces for instance are no no's.
-Still hates being told no, but has gotten better lately.  We have started some discipling so that has helped.  We have a very strong willed child on our hands!
-Knows what trucks are, it's so cute he points at them and does his version of a vroom, vroom, it sounds more like a lion, but he tries.
-Loves dogs and cats and tries to say them but it sounds the same to me
The other day at dads it was so cute, the dogs were "playing " which he didn't understand but he was pointing at them telling them down because I'm assuming he thought they were fighting.  When they get to close to him he says down too, too funny.
-Is so weird about food, he's still pretty picky about what he eats and pretty much eats about the same thing every day but every so often he will do something that surprises us.  Last week he randomly grabbed a cherry tomato and loved it.  Ended up eating a bunch.  Then another day he grabbed a black olive off my plate and loved that.  He always likes things I don't expect for him to.  I look forward to the day where I can feel good about what he eats and feel like he eats balanced meals.  We still are pretty far from that!
-Is trying to work himself down to one nap.  We have been off and on, some days he has 2 but this last week has been mostly 1.  I'm not quite ready for this, but can't do anything about it.  It sure does change our schedule though, so I'm going to have to do some adjusting.
-Loves more shows that I'd like but now he is into Mickey still, Special Agent Oso, Jungle Junction, and Handy Manny.  We don't have cable so these are shows we can watch on disney.com for free!
-Has switched to sippy cups without handles.  Took a few days but now we are onto big boy cups finally.
-Loves, Loves things with wheels.  He all of a sudden started loving cars, trucks, trucks and things that wheeled around so I had to go out and get a few more for him to play with.
-Has the cutest happy dance, when he gets excited about something he gets this look on his face, and flaps his arms.  I just think it's the cutest.
-Says Hi all the time, pretty much everytime he sees someone he knows walk into the room.  The way he does it just makes me crack up.  He changes his voice and draws it out
-Is getting better with kisses, he still rarely gives them, but lets more people give him kisses by just leaning his head toward you, or giving you the side of his face.
-Loves his daddy so much and gets so cuddly with him. a lot of times when he picks him up he will just lay his head on his shoulder, so cute!
-Wants loving after he has gotten in trouble, he always comes over to you and wants to be held afterwards
-Loves playing on the furniture, especially our new stuff.  However it's too tall for him, so he can't get up himself.
-Loves running from us and playing his version of hide and seek/peekaboo
-His laugh is changing, it's the cutest little boy laugh now instead of a baby giggle.  I love it but makes me sad too, he is just getting so big.
-Says down for everything, up,down, in, out,  I just can't get him to say up for anything
-Says his version of love you so cute, he gets excited and says love, love, love, love over and over and will give me hugs when he does it, pretty much melts my heart!
Talks a lot but not necessarily things we understand or real words. He still is a little smartie though. He has got way to much figured out for his age I think.  We still love him more than anything and sure enjoy time with our boy.  He is just so much fun to play with and that laugh makes all the bad and frustrating times worth it.  He is definitely getting more and more like a boy every day and less like a baby.  As much as  I hate it, it's good because I will need for him to grow up some more in the next few months to prepare for his little bro Carson.  We love you so much Noah!

Almost 27 Weeks

Wow am I doing awful this time awful, can't believe Wednesday I will be 27 weeks along, in the third trimester and still haven't taken a belly picture.  So many things are different this time around.  This has gone by fast, but I seem to be getting more and more comfortable a lot earlier on.  This baby seems ultra low and pretty much everything I wear besides dresses bother me.  Everytime I stand up  I feel like I have to pee whether I just went 5 minutes ago or not, very annoying! Since we already have one child, he keeps us busy and we aren't constantly thinking and talking about the next baby since we are busy with Noah.  I can't believe I still haven't bought one single outfit for the next baby, that's so unlike me.  I will need to go shopping for Carson before too long because since he will be born at the end of August/ or early September he will need newborn to prob 3  months summer clothes for a little while in the beginning until he can wear Noah's clothes which he started out in winter stuff.  I also can't wait to get  the boys matching outfits.  That will definitely be a photo op!  I just love saying the boys, I think it sounds cute!  I still haven't figured out their room yet.  Noah is still in his crib and will be until Carson is born since we plan on keeping Carson in our room for awhile.  So i their room is not on the top priority list right now but will have to move it up there soon.  I have been looking for fabric off and on because I have still thought about making them matching bedding but still not sure about time and how much I could really do.  I did find one set at Target I really liked that came in toddler and crib bedding but I hate to spend that much  buying a new crib set when we already have one and it keeps going unavailable anyway so I can never catch it when you can buy all the pieces.  So for now the future boy's room will be left unpainted and undecorated until we decide what we are going to do in there.  After awhile the plain room will eventually truly drive me crazy and make me make a decision and also when it gets closer I'm sure I'll be freaking out about not having a room ready for them.  Maybe we will get a belly photo by 30 weeks, haha!

My next appointment is a week from Thursday.  I will be 28 weeks, and get to get a shot, do the glucose and  my last planned ultrasound.   It will be a long appointment but at least we will get to see Carson again and hopefully get some better pictures this time since last time he was too curled up!

Noah Lately

Lately Noah has been very up or down.  He's either happy as can be or throwing fits. Some days have been very tiring and I think just with everything going on I have been a lot less patient and not able to handle as much.  Some days by dinner I am just done!  I'm so thankful to have Matthew around most nights to help out with our character of a son!

I haven't gotten to really take many pics lately because Noah broke my camera about a month ago.  Matthew can get it to work sometimes but when you want to take a picture you don't usually have 5 minutes to get it to work before you take it.  My wonderful husband did order me a new one the other day for my birthday though, so it should be arriving any day and then I will have to catch up on the photos!  I did take a few though on my phone to show what he has been up to lately.

Noah loves french fries, I don't even know who gave him the first bite,  but he sure hasn't ever forgetten it.  When he sees them he knows and has to have one.  I don't like it but usually give in.  Anyways sometime last week Matthew had some and Noah quickly saw and had to sit on his lap and eat some.  Matthew had some broken up for him and he was eating some too, but Matthew was dipping his in ketchup.  Well Noah was paying attention to dad and to our surprise all of a sudden he grabbed one fry and dipped it right in the ketchup and put it into his mouth.  We were so surprised 1- because Noah is picky and usually just doesn't try anything, especially something different and 2- we realized just how much he pays attention to what we do.
In the new house I have a lower cabinet with all Noah's bowls and cups and it didn't take long for him to remember this one.  Pretty much daily now he likes to go and empty everything out of it.  He also will bring me a new cup everytime he wants a drink since he knows where they are.
Our poor sleepy boy, this was taken on the way home from Kansas City after Adam and Kate's wedding.  He had been fighting sleep for awhile and was ready to crash.  Of course he had to have his leg off the side of the car seat.  It never looks very comfortable but he loves to sit like that.

Moved In

What an exhausting month we have had.  We officially are in our new house, so exciting!! I can't believe we are finally in, what a long journey this has been.  We first saw this house last November and began dreaming it would someday be ours.  Now many months later, we actually live here and all our stuff is here.  Is everything unpacked and where we would like? Absolutely not, is it a work in progress, sure and I know it will be for quite some time.  Last time we moved and did all our house projects we didn't have a little one and I wasn't pregnant so this time around everything will take a lot longer.  We basically have nap times and after Noah goes to bed to really get stuff done.  This house is quite different than the last though and there isn't anything that NEEDS done just things I want to do.  The whole house was painted white and so I of course would like to paint a lot of rooms.  We did get the living room finally painted after 4 days of working on it.  Now we are getting ready to move onto the dining/kitchen areas. We bought paint yesterday so this week that is our project.  After that I will probably just stop for awhile and worry about bedrooms/bathrooms later. I would like to do the decorating different than our last house too, so with buying a lot of new things I have to pace myself.  This move was expensive!  Our new living room furniture should be arriving any day, then I will take pictures of our completed living room.  That will probably be the only room I really finish and get fully decorated for awhile so we can go on extra spending freeze for awhile and save up some money for Carson coming in September since our kids are quite expensive with our very high deductible.

So far I just have to say, I love our new house. I love the set up, I love all the extra space, I pretty much love it all.  I feel so truly blessed to own our new home!

Noah has been doing better this last week, he just didn't really know what to think. the first week  In the old house he would just walk all over the place, explore and look for me when he didn't see me.  Well in the new one he didn't know where to begin to look to find me.  He was scared of the hallway and wouldn't walk down it without us.  He never really wanted to play, he just wanted to sit on laps and watch TV.  Well the last few days have been much better he is starting to walk around a little more and will play now.  He still would rather bring the toys into the living room rather than play in his playroom, which is okay with me it's better than having all the toys in the living room like we used to!

The yard is our one issue.  The yard is not very flat and on the side of the driveway there is a retaining wall which isn't the best play area for him.  He is scared of the hills and when he does decide he can walk down them, I'm then scared he's going to fall down them.  We do have some flat areas but right now he just wont' stay on them, he wants to throw his balls wherever he shouldn't go.  We are taking an outside break now anyway since we have the influx of locusts/cicadas (not sure what they are).  They are awful.  The shells are all over our trees/ yard.  The bugs themselves are flying everywhere.  You can't hardly walk through the back yard without getting pelted by one and the yard is just gross to walk through since they are sitting everywhere and boy are they loud. I'll be very glad when this period is over.  It's crazy that we pretty much moved out here just in time to deal with them.    At least it won't be evey year!

Will post pictues hopefully this week, darn furniture is the hold up!
