Just in Time
It seems like everytime we are getting ready to go somewhere, Noah gets sick. We have truly been blessed this winter and have had pretty healthy boys and just colds and nothing major. But Matthew left this morning about 2:30 to head to Florida for a business trip and I'm meeting him down there on Friday but the kids have us off to a rough start. They both were up some last night. Noah has had a temp off and on of up to 103. They were both up at 5:30 this morning. It is now 2:36 and I still haven't had any time without one of them being up yet today and most likely won't until bedtime this evening. Noah is all messed up. He is sooo tired but can't sleep. I took him to the doctor this morning and he doesn't have strep thankfully but has the start of a double ear infection and a nasty cold so she put him on Amoxicillian (which I have yet to get him to take any, will have to try again later). I'm hoping he gets better soon, I have a lot to get done before I leave and without Matthew here don't have a chance at getting a break. Also it will be so much harder leaving if my babies aren't doing good! Grr.... What bad timing! I have been getting lots of snuggling in though from my big baby. That's about all he has wanted was to be held. Every once in a while he gets a burst of energy and will play with something but it has mostly been a movie day (and blogging for me, I finally got him to sit by himself, I think he could tell mom needed a few minutes) Hoping this is short lived, I need to get cleaning, packing, squeeze in some sleep, and work a few hours tomorrow before we head out.
Still a Cars Man
Noah still loves his cars clothes! Monday his Nana Jill let him pick out his clothes, he ended up in his Cars shirt and slippers. Then for awhile he had to mow the carpet while wearing his tool goggles. His imagination is too much fun, just love seeing the things he comes up with to do.
Right now he is into opposites. He loves making things go up, down, open, closed, and happy, sad. A week or two ago we were at the grocery store and he wanted some goldfish at the checkout, I said no and he puts his head down on the shopping cart. I asked him what he was doing and he looked at me and said "sad". It was pretty much adorable. He still didn't get the goldfish, but he really understands happy and sad and that just blows me away! Most of the time when you ask him he will tell you he is happy and smiles real big.
With his new opposites he knows, its another excuse for him to constantly be bossing us around, telling us to open or close everything and another one he is always using is put away. I hear that 100 times a day, now only if he would be the one putting things away this house might be picked up once in awhile besides after the boys go to bed. Ahhh... to dream, I'm pretty sure I have another 18 years of boy messes!
Kisses
This little cutie pie has started giving kisses. It's been too funny, he started doing it when I was holding him and eating things. It was like he smelled the food and tried to attack my mouth to try and get some. Now when he is close to my face sometimes he just goes in with his mouth open and gives me a kiss. He loves to hold my face too!
His funny face, he usually has the little smirk a little bigger but he does it all the time. He will look at you and it's like he is smiling with his mouth closed! Love this kid!

Noah the Character
Yes this is Noah, playing with the Johnny Jumper and no Carson isn't in it. Carson doesn't like it, never really has (except for one random day he decided he loved it) but Noah likes to get it out and asks me to hang it up for Buzz and Woody to ride. Cracks me up he puts them both in and pushes away like he's swinging them.
Noah's love for tractors I think pretty much grows every day. This kids loves them. They have been around our house some lately working on the fields and this particular day they were doing the field right behind our house and he sat there for about 20 minutes just watching the tractor go up and down the rows. It's so neat to live where we do and be able for him to experience seeing them so close. The dust part I could definitely live without, but unfortunately the two come together.
Noah's new way to sit on the couch.
One day Noah just decided that when he sits on the couch he needs the footrest up. Now almost every time he puts it up as soon as he sits down. It's too funny because our couches are huge and he doesn't even cover half but he thinks it needs to be up. Also he has to have the pillow behind him every time. This boy has too many quirks to even mention. Very structured child he is, he likes things the same way all the time. (sorry buddy, unfortunately I think you got that from your momma)
Good Brother/ Ornery Brother
This changes by the minute
Here you are Noah helping your mom while she was getting dinner ready. Noah emptied all of the kid silverware onto his brothers tray and then fed Carson puffs to hold him over until I got the food ready. Noah loves feeding him these for some reason and every time he gave him one he would say yummy. I think he has heard me try that a few too many times, haha!
Some moments you are so sweet to your brother and love to try and help me, then the next minute you are trying to wrestle with him, knock him down, dumping things of blocks on him or throwing random things at him. I know you know better and get in trouble every time for some reason it's just too hard to resist!
Getting Closer
Would you believe me this sweetie at almost 8 months was still getting up every few hours at night. Now Carson buddy we love you soooo much, but it was getting incredibly old. Matthew decided enough was enough and Monday said you were crying it out buddy. We had tried a few times before but you won't let us rock you, rubbing your back, shhh ing you nothing helped so we kept giving up at some point each night. Monday we were mean and it was tough but the 3 times you woke up we let you cry and cry and you did for about an hour, hour and a half each time. But you were okay, just mad. Then Tuesday night you didn't wake up until 4 something and cried for awhile. Wednesday you didn't wake up until 6:15! Yahoo! I couldn't believe it, I thought it would take a lot more than it did. Just that one rough night made such an improvement. The last two nights you have gotten up once but the crying is getting less and less each time and you haven't had a bottle at night all week so there isn't any going back. Only going to get better from here (cross my fingers). We love you so much Carson, but we love sleep too! I can't tell you good if felt the other night! I can't wait until it's our normal, wahoo. I will feel like a new woman!
Easter
Wasn't Easter day beautiful! Oh my gosh, what an awesome day to spend with family and celebrate that Jesus is alive!
We had went to our church's Easter services on Saturday night and enjoyed worship and got to hear my little sister's testimony! She mad me cry, I was so proud of her! Sunday morning we got up and headed to Matthew's parents for some fun outside and a delicious brunch with his family! Noah got to play with cousins so of course he had fun! Then we went home so the kids could nap then when they woke up it was off to Grandpa John's for the Nuelle family get together. Grandpa John had an Easter present for the boys and all the future grandkids which was a big John Deere Gator. Boy did the boys love it! Noah had lots of fun riding that half of the time!

Noah trying to do what he does best, boss and be in control
Noah and his quirky self, he would have to put his lawn mower in the back of the gator before he drove off in it. The things he does like this crack me up.
Getting the gate open.....
Lawn mower is in the back and getting the door shut....
Okay now he can take off!
Carson loving the swing!
Noah hunting his first Easter eggs, we were out of town last year and missed doing a hunt with him! He did great, I figured he would want to eat the stuff out of each egg, but once he started picking them up he was on a roll!
Carson getting in on the action too
All the adults played a big game of wiffle ball, it got pretty intense. Dinah caught a good action shot of Matthew running and others in the background
The whole crew playing!
It was a great day with family and great weather! We are so blessed!
Thank you Jesus for your awesome sacrifice!

No Doubt About It
There is no doubt about it, we definitely have a 2 year old. Noah's favorite words have become, No, Me, Mine, Go Away, Stop It and the list goes on but these are ones I hear on a daily basis. Every day now, he's pretty much picking up on new short phrases and words. How his vocabulary has expanded in the last few months is amazing! He finally is repeating so much of what we say, it's so nice to know what he's wanting most of the time now!
Last week when the boys were eating breakfast, Carson was looking at Noah and Noah kept yelling stop it to Carson and moving his hand like telling him to look away. Then this morning he told Carson to go away when he was trying to play. I can't believe we have this kind of stuff going on already. I don't even know where he hears "go away" or how they learn "mine". It's not like Matthew and I walk around saying "mine" all the time. He had to of heard it from other kids! I truly thought it would be a little bit longer before we had to deal with this kind of toddler attitude.
Of course sometimes I also love the new words and phrases he says, like if I don't answer him right away when he asks me a question he says "please" in the cutest little voice, or sometimes he will say "sit in lap" when he wants to sit on my lap, just melts my heart! Then he is always wanting 2 or 3 more of something, so hard to say no, when he says it in his cute little voice and shows you his 2 or 3 fingers (at least he tries).
Oh the fun we have to look forward too, I know it's only going to get worse when Carson starts moving and is always messing with what he's doing. I wouldn't trade this age for anything right now though. I love Noah at this age, so much fun to play with, and he's like a sponge learning so many new things everyday!
