Last night we had such a sweet time with Noah before he went to bed. Usually as soon as he gets out of the bath we go into his room, give him his paci ( I think it's about his favorite time of the day) and lay him down to get his diaper and pj's on. Then usually before I am even done putting his shirt on he's trying to get up and get in his big boy bed to read books. Well last night he just stayed laying down on the floor and we both had layed down by him. We were all on the floor talking and playing for about 30 minutes before we finally laid him in bed for the night. We sang songs, laughed, went over all of our different facial features and just loved on him. Noah hasn't always been a big cuddly, loving type of person but lately he has definetly been doing more of it. It's weird, I don't know if it's just a stage he's in or if he knows that something is about ready to change. Either way we will take it and our enjoying his desire to love on us more for the time being.

38 Weeks
Wow, I'm at 38 weeks, Can't believe that hopefully in 2 weeks or less than 2 weeks we will be meeting Carson. I don't have any exciting updates since my appt is actually tomorrow so I guess if we find anything out I will update again.
I have been slowly getting a few more things ready for the new little mister.
Last night we put the car seat base in the car, and today we finished getting the crib ready (even though we prob won't need it for awhile since he will be us for awhile) by moving the mattress back up and getting the new breathable bumpers put on, got Carson's bag packed today will prob wait til go time for mine since I hardly have anything to wear right now, I can't spare any to pack. I have outgrown pretty much all of my clothes all of a sudden and it's a little late to buy new now for 2 weeks. I feel like I've grown a ton in the last few weeks. The scale and my clothes can prove that one.
Weight Gain- + 32 boo.... Not so good these last two weeks!
Cravings-Still ice, popsicles, ice, lots of random junk food, and more ice. I just can't get enough ice. Nugget ice from DQ, or Homewood is still the best but I will settle for gas station ice. Tuesday at work I had two cups of it and still wanted more on my way home.
Belly Button- Not completely out but definetly heading that way by the end of the day. It's weird in some shirts it already looks out but it's really just the top part that flares out it's not a full blown pop
Emotions- Completely done with the whole being pregnant thing.. Can't sleep, body aches all the time, I'm just pretty much tired and grumpy and ready to meet our boy! I know I will still be tired but I will handle that way better than being tired because I can't fall asleep because of restless legs and an achey body.
Things I'm getting tired of....
Maternity clothes
Getting asked whem I'm due
Discomfort...
Not being able to play with my boy like I used to....
Being huge!!
However.. the end is near. I can do this.... I can do this!!!
Hoping to find out the end is closer than September 7th tomorrow!
Today at 38 weeks!

Awesome Weather Weekend
Saturday was the fall Mommy and Me Consignment Sale and I had an early bird pass (thanks Stephanie Smith for helping me get one!) so I got to go at 8, 1 hour before it opened and have first dibs. Well one of the first things I saw was this box, it had what looked to be like random tracks and some bigger cars in it. Well they only had $10 on it so I figured just with the 5 big cars and trucks it was worth that to me because we have already bought a lot of play cars and they are expensive. Noah loves cars so I knew he would use them. I had been wanting a train/car table for him to play with his cars/ trucks on so I figured this would be a good cheaper substitute for now as well if he had somewhere to wheel his cars. I expected him to like it but not play with it for nearly as long as he did. When I got home, got it cleaned up, figured out how to set it up Noah started to play, and play and play. Now I wasn't sure at first what it all did and didn't really try to figure it out because he liked it without batteries and special features. After he had been playing with it for a few hours off and on I googled it and realized that it was pretty cool. I found a switch for the start thing, and it lights up and talks, then you shake the cars and they go around the tracks by themselves. Noah was mesmerized. However then the frustration started because he couldn't figure out how to get the cars to go and I wasn't going to sit there all day and shake them for him. The magical new toy quickly became frustrating for both of us, I decided it was time to eat and then for a nap. After nap we started all over with it and Matthew worked with him showing him how to shake the cars to get them to go. In no time, he got it and has it figured out himself now. Sometimes he can't quite shake it right and it only goes a little but for the most part he loves it and can work it himself. I was pretty proud of my $10 purchase. I love getting great deals like that.
Before we figured out how the cars moved themselves, he just crawled round and round pushing the cars....
Then he realized it was much easier to sit in the middle and do it.
Yesterday we had a great evening hanging out together and spending some time outside. We ate dinner on the back deck and after we were done Matthew took Noah out front to play while I cleaned up. After I finished I went out to hang out with the boys and found Matthew in the empty lot next to us running Noah around in the wagon. It was quite humorous and Noah sure thought so too, he was just laughing!
Playing some ball in the grass
Matthew also played some bball with his son. He was helping him dunk it, then it would get stuck in the net since it's not exactly a basketball and he would punch it out from the bottom sending it flying. Noah was all smiles! He loves this game and kept running up to us over and over again turning his back to us so we could pick him up and do it again.
My two boys... Next summer I'm going to have to boot Matthew out of the wagon so Carson can have a seat.
The weather was just perfect yesterday, we played way past bedtime. It was just too nice to go back inside. Makes me very ready for fall!
Shoe Fetish
Noah's loves these shoes.....
Weird I know..
Freak me out a little???
Yes definitely....
I'm not sure why but everytime I'm getting ready and he knows we are leaving and I need shoes he goes in our closet to get these shoes for me. He will bring them out and try to put them on my feet. Usually just for the sake of a fit I will squeeze my almost 37 week pregnant pudgy feet into them and wear them for a minute until I can sneak on my other comfy (usually flip flops these days) shoes. For now I'm just going to tell myself it's not a big deal, he just likes them because they are different than all the other 30 black pairs of shoes in there.
Love
I have been wanting to do some more sewing for quite some time, but I always find something else I feel needs done first. I had a bunch of projects I wanted to do all winter but I was constantly spending any spare time I had cleaning since our house was on the market, then it was packing then unpacking, and now trying to get ready for baby. Well finally this last week I got out some fabric, got it all washed and some projects cut and finally sewed yesterday. I only finished 2 receiving blankets and 2 burp cloths. but once I start I'm usually hooked for a little while. I'm hoping the little taste of sewing will give me the motivation to finish a lot of stuff I have been wanting to make. I just had to show off this adorable fabric. I just LOVE it so much. I thoguht Carson needed a few n new things of his own that wasn't Noah's before so here is a picture of the receiving blanket I made and he also has some matching burp cloths.

36 Weeks
Wednesday I hit the 36 week mark, wahoo! Getting closer and closer each day. Tuesday I went for my now weekly appointments and got checked. She said I was 2-3 that's better than the 1-2 I heard with Noah for 4 weeks. I'm hoping that means something, but not expecting it too. I know that means I could go any day or still be waiting when September 7th comes! Next Wednesday when I hit that 37 weeks and will be considered full term I'm really going to start getting antsy for Mr. Carson to come!
I have seen lots of people doing a little questionnaire lately on their blogs with stats about their pregnancy. I will steal a few of them
Weight gain: Sitting at +28 lbs right now, not awesome but still much better than it was with Noah. I set a goal of 30, so will most likely pass that, unless I go incredibly soon
Cravings: popsicles, popsicles and nugget ice (DQ has probably thought I'm going crazy this week going through the drive thru to get a cup of it the last few days)
Belly-Button: not quite out yet, but really really close to popping I'm afraid
Movement: Carson was such a calm little guy for most of the pregnancy but that sure has changed, It seems like I'm constantly getting jabbed on my right side. I can't figure out what it is poking out. Every night after my popsicle eating marathon, he usually starts putting on a show!
Emotions: Very, Very, Very ready to not be pregnant anymore, but still not completely feeling ready for 2 little ones. I know that is going to be a challenging adjustment. Some days I feel I could easily handle another one, and other days I can't fathom it. I know it will be hard, but we will make it and before I know it the boys will be old enough and will be playing/wrestling/fighting with each other. I don't think I could possibly be prepared for life with 2 kids under 2 so I'm ready to bring it on and get this journey started.
Tuesday I go back for my 37 week check, so we shall see if I'm still sitting at the same or if we are any closer! Wish me luck!
Oh and what's this? That's right 36 weeks along, and my first belly picture. It's a terrible picture but I figured I better at least have one for Carson to see of him.

Family Outing
I have been wanting to take Noah to the zoo all summer but it has just been way too hot! He seems to get grumpy when he's hot and I defnitely get grumpy when I'm hot which happens a lot more than normal. Summer pregnancy=not fun! Anyways I knew that the forecast for today was awesome on Sunday when I checked so I thought about taking Noah today but for once we actually are planning on going out of town this weekend as well so I figured it would be better not to travel today too. Instead I remembered Ballard Nature Center is so close and that they had an indoor area for kids as well as the trails. So this morning we slept in a little, got ready then headed to Ballard. We had a good time, Noah loved running around, and actually wanted to sit in his stroller some as well for once. He hasn't been a big fan of his stroller this summer. He's too big for it he thinks, he always wants "down".
Noah staring at all the trees in the woods
Taking a break from the stroller and walking down the trail with dad-dad
Wanted dad to hold him, Matthew was telling him about how God created all the trees and flowers. He actually seemed to be listening, so cute!
We had fun and I think it wore little man out. A lot of the indoor stuff is more for a older kids and they have a kids fishing pond as well so I'm sure over the next few years Noah will grow to like it there even more. For now he's happy just running around outside on the trails! Noah is such an outdoor kid, he just loves it outside! This fall after baby I hope to make it there some more, when I'm able to walk easier and longer!
Noah started out mad because we took his juice away. I wanted to save it since I figured he would be thirsty after we were done
But we quickly gave in, gave him his juice and he was perfectly content in the stroller

Loved running over the bridges
Taking a break from the outdoors and playing inside for a few minutes, he didn't last long, he quickly found the door to outside. I did get this picture that I just love though!

What Noah's Doing at 18 Months
At 18 Months Noah is
-down to 1 nap a day, been hard for me to get used to but we are getting there
-is in a phase where he says "thanks" all the time. Everytime he gives me something it's usually thanks, and sometimes when you give him something he will say it too but it's usually more when he gives you something. It's backwards but it's a start.
-Loves Clifford, he loves his stuffed Clifford and also the TV show. Since he had loved his dog so much I wondered if he would like the show so I bought a DVD on ebay and when I first put it on, he couldn't believe Cliffy as we call him was on TV it was so cute. Now once it's on, since the episodes usually keep playing, it's a fight to turn it off.
-Still doesn't eat much, his diet consists of fruit, cheese, yogurt, peas, ravioli, pieroges, pasta, and chicken nuggets. Of course there is a lot of junk he likes, like fries, chips, fruit snacks, and popsicles but those don't count! I'm getting so tired of feeding him the same things, I can't imagine eating that stuff all the time but he just won't try hardly anything. I feel like he would like more if he would just try it. I have tried pb and jelly and grilled cheese many times to do something different but anything with bread or looks like bread he won't eat. Ever time we try something he doesn't want to eat, it's usually a screaming fit. Needless to say, I dislike mealtimes at this age, we struggle through them a lot of days.
-has been cutting a lot of teeth, he has had his front 4 and bottom 4 for awhile and just cut his 4 molars, and now is starting his insicors. Poor guy it always seems to hit him in waves like that. He has been doing pretty good with them though. On the extremely cranky days, I blame it on the teeth.
-still wears 18 month shirts and 12-18 month bottoms, little skinny butt has stayed put for awhile.
-has the cutest/funniest run, he flaps his hands in the air and he brings his feet way up. Now if he keeps doing it when he gets older, not so cute, he may get made fun of, but for now I love it
-walks on his tippy toes a lot all of a sudden
-loves, loves outside, he can open all the doors in our new house, so we have to keep a good eye on him, since he can open the garage and front door. Some days he tries to just go outside when he wants. It has been hard since it's been so hot, I haven't been able to stand playing out there with him. Looking forward to cooler weather and then I'm sure we will be outside all the time again.
-decided he just now likes Patty Cake, every time we get to the roll it part he just cracks up. Pretty much every day we sing, Elmo's song, Pat-a Cake and Itsy bitsy. He loves music!
-loves to play on mom, I'm ready to be able to do this more with him after baby, he loves to climb all over me and crawl around the floor together but it's just getting to hard for me right now.
-is obsessed with his toothbrush and toothpaste he goes in his bathroom many times throughout the door to get them out. He would suck on his toothbrush half the day if we let him.
-talks so much more but not necessarily words that exist or we understand.
Is still a character, it seems most days he is either happy and running around or throwing fits. He's lucky he's cute and that we love him so much because he can be so strong willed at times. We wouldn't trade him for the world though, no matter how ornery he can be! We will have the most frustrating 5 minutes with temper tantrums and then in the next 5 minutes he has us laughing at him. It is a rollercoaster every day!
