Table Food
For awhile now every time I would try to give Noah anything other than baby food, he would gag before he even tasted it and sometimes get sick afterwards. Well I hadn't tried much because we ended up with a mess every time. Lately that has changed. Each night at dinner with Matthew and I Noah hasn't wanted his food. One night we had homemade pizza and I gave him some cheese, and he loved it! The next night he wouldn't eat again so I got out some cheese and of course he would eat that but wouldn't eat his food. After those two nights he has become a cheese lover and loves it anytime. I didn't want him just eating cheese so last night when I made our dinner I set some aside for him. We had broccoli cheesy chicken rice casserole ( I know it has cheese in it, but at least its more than that) and I let Noah try some because he wouldn't eat his peas. Every time he saw them coming he would move his face and hide it, then as soon as I got something on my plate he ate it just fine. He totally has us figured out. I just can't get over how smart this little guy is but so glad he is eating table food. I thought we would be doing baby food forever at the rate we were going. I can't wait to not have to buy that stuff anymore. It's pricey for those little containers!

What Noah's doing at 9 Months
This is a late one considering he will be 10 months next week but I'm finally getting to it.
Wow this last month he has seemed to really learn a lot. ( I think I say this every month, haha)
At 9 months Noah
-Has 4 teeth (2 on bottom and his 2 front teeth)
-Still hasn't had a hair cut but will be having one in the next week or two
-Waves hello, but not goodbye, he's funny like that
-Claps his hands (one of my favorites)
-Loves playing the pick up game-Noah drops something and we pick it up and repeat
-Army crawling a little but still really prefers walking- he is getting so good with his walkers. We let him get behind one and he can walk from one end of the living room to the other until he runs into something. Sometimes he gets going pretty fast. He can also really move around in the sitting walker on our tile. The other day while I vacuumed he followed me around and even maneuvered around the table. I was quite impressed!
-He has started to try and give us everything, from our phones to his toys. It's so cute ! He's a good sharer already, haha
-He can go from his belly to sitting up by himself. He's gotten a lot faster at it this week!
-Has pulled himself up a few times but not too many
-Seems like he always says "this" I think I use that word too many times
-STILL does not sleep through the night, with our next one I'm due for a good sleeper. Once we get passed this ear infection and sickness I am playing hard ball and we are going to end this multiple getting up stuff
-Wears 12-18 months old clothes
-Has found a sound he loves to make, screaming, whether it be happy or sad. This week he hasn't done it nearly as much as last week, last week that is all we did
-Has really started to like us reading to him. We read a couple books before bed most nights and also some throughout the day. We have a few where there are texture things on them and he knows right where to feel he does right for the spot on the page a lot. So neat to see him understanding things!
-Loves anything that clanks together and balls
-Loves my tupperware cabinet (don't all kids?)
-Really likes young kids, he is fascinated by them and everything they do is funny
-Loves peek-a-boo and the roll it part of patty cake
-Really seems to be thinning out and hasn't gained hardly any weight at all these last couple months. Makes me a little sad that he is losing his baby chub so early! He is getting so tall so I think he is just spreading out.
And is still the cutest little boy I know (I'm biased, he's my son, what can I say)
Our little Noah is just so special, he is so full of personality and attitude. He is one of a kind! I'm so thankful that we have been so blessed with him. There isn't anything better than seeing a huge smile on his face or hearing his laugh! Oh how we love him so much!

9 Month Well Baby Visit
Yesterday we had what was supposed to be Noah's 9 month WELL baby visit. We had missed it a few weeks and rescheduled it which is why is much later than his actual 9 month birthday. It couldn't have came at a more perfect time. Noah has had quite a cold for a little while now and it just wasn't seeming to get better in fact from Monday to Wednesday it got much worse. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning poor guy just couldn't sleep. He was pretty much up from about 1:30 am to 6. He might have slept about 20 minutes in there. Then at 6 I fed him and decided to get in the shower. I had tried everything so I thought he could just cry while I took a quick shower. Well I got out of the shower and the little guy decided he would sleep now. He stayed asleep until about 7:40. Once he got up he wasn't his normal happy self instead he just wimpered and cried until his appt at 8:40. We went to get in the Highlander and a light was left on the night before so it was dead, then I had to move his car seat to the other car (Matthew was out of town for a continuing ed class) while Noah threw a fit. Then we made it to the doctor and thankfully didn't have to wait long or I might have lost it. Then in the room I was trying to talk to the doctor and Noah wanted her computer so he wouldn't quit squirming and crying since he wasn't getting it. Well in the meantime he threw up all over me, him, and the chair. I felt so bad and tried to clean everything up as much as possible. After that she found that Noah had an ear infection! No wonder he couldnt' sleep and hasn't really wanted his bottles, poor guy was hurting. She has put him on Amoxicillin (sp) now for 10 days so hopefully this will help him. The rest of the day was on and off, he would play some and then get whiny. I actually napped when he did, I very rarely ever nap with him but since we were up most of the night I needed it! He slept much better last night and his fever has seemed to come and go with the wearing off of the pain medicine, so I have been trying to make sure we've got him covered and make sure he has that when he needs it. Today he spent the day with Nana Jill and wasn't a big napper so hopefully he will sleep good for us tonight! I also had a much better day today until tonight when I'm a little overcome with stress over our massive to do list for this house! I just want it to be ready to put on the market already! I actual stopped from my painting to try and de-stress by writing this blog! I must say it's working a little bit!

Noah's First Halloween
Matthew and I's first weekend away together went well. Noah was great for his aunts and I think had a lot of fun. He didn't make it easy for them though at all times, he had some spills and some messy accidents but that's not abnormal for him. Overall I think he did great and I did better than I thought being away from him. Friday I cried a lot but once I got to the church with the youth I did much better and that continued over the weekend. Of coursed I missed seeing him and was sad I didn't get to see him before bed but we were pretty busy with the youth and the convention that it kept my mind off of him most of the time. The weekend was great and I was so glad to meet and get to know more of the youth and the convention itself was awesome.
Randi and Kate sent me pictures throughout the weekend, kept us updated on him and also sent a video of him clapping (so cute, I just love it) so those were nice to get. Anyways on Sunday pretty much as soon as we got home I got him ready for Halloween and we began going around to different family members to show off his little ducky costume. He was finished by our last stop because we got a little behind and it was passed bedtime by the time we got home! It was so nice to see his sweet smiley face and get to hug and kiss him goodnight!
My cute little ducky!
Always happy when he's walking and how could you resist those cute chubby legs in his leggings!

First Weekend Trip
I can't believe Matthew and I are both leaving Noah this weekend. In August I went on an overnight shopping trip with my mom and sisters and then Matthew had 2 separate nights where he went away when Noah was younger. We haven't both left at the same time and it was never this far, or this long. We are going with the Reality youth group to Acquire the Fire. I know it's going to be awesome and I am excited but sad and worried at the same time. Noah is my little baby. He hasn't been feeling that well this week but I can't use that as my excuse. I'm really trying to stay tough, everything in me today wanted to back out because when I looked at his sweet little face I couldn't help but think there is no way I can leave him all weekend! I know he will be in great hands. His aunts, and grandparents love him so much too and will all be taking care of him throughout the weekend! I know Aunt Randi will have him most of the time and will do a great job. She will most likely have her hands full as he has really seem to learn a lot this week. More about that in the next post but he has really been wearing me out lately. I'm just tuckered out at the end of the day.
We will be heading up north on a bus so I think that is the hard part for us, knowing we don't have a vehicle to just drive home if need be but if anything were to happen (which it's not, but) we would figure something out. Noah just went to bed a little bit ago and I asked Matthew if he could sleep with us tonight but he said no. Bummer! Noah isn't a cuddler but last night he actually let me rock him to sleep. I soooo loved it! After he was asleep I tried to cuddle with him as much as he would let me without squirming in his sleep. Anyways tomorrow I am off work and we don't have to be at the church until around 2 so I'm hoping to get to spend some good quality time with my little man before we leave. Then Sunday will be Halloween so as soon as we get back to town we will have to get Noah all dressed up in his costume. Can't wait, I've only had it since the beginning of August so I've been waiting awhile! So hopefully tomorrow we make it out of town, because once we make it out, I will be on a bus with a bunch of teenagers and there won't be any turning back. I'm going to try for no tears, but I still just can't believe how much I miss him and he is just in bed in the other room. It stinks knowing you are leaving!!! Well wish me luck, I can do this!

First Parade
This afternoon Katie, Hannah, and I took Noah to first parade. We missed the Homecoming parade so the Halloween was the next one. I figured he would like it since he likes to watch cars go by, bands, and animals. Well he did like it but didn't show much emotion like the normal Noah. He pretty much sat there the entire time with his mouth open. It was so cute. He loved most of it except for the beginning I think scared him a little with all the sirens. We covered his ears because I forgot how loud those things were up close! It was so funny to me at how many people came up to him to give him a handful of candy as if they felt bad for him that the other kids were getting it all. One person from Casey's that was passing out donuts came up to him and said here buddy, this will be kind of messy. My son is 9 months old, we dont eat donuts and we definetly do not eat candy. I guess it was nice for us though plenty of candy for the adults. Noah also got hit on the head once with a piece of candy someone was trying to throw one and misjudged. He just whined for a minute and then he was fine. I think he enjoyed it though.
Staring at the parade
Staring.....
Kate moved and we are still staring, haha
Great day, it was beautiful outside, perfect day for the parade!

Loving Walking
All Noah wants to do these days is walk, walk, and walk. Of course it's not that easy because he needs us to do it but the last couple days I have got out some toy walkers to see how he does with those. He did pretty good with one of them. I was quite impressed he made it pretty far in the living room the other night. I just can't get over how fast time has flown. I can't believe my baby will be walking soon!
