All I have to say is wow, we so blessed to have such wonderful families and so many people to call family. Our house was packed for Noah's birthday party over the weekend. He sure is one loved little boy!
This year I did a Mickey theme birthday party and of course with all the pinterest ideas, wanted to go all crazy wild. But I put my real life hat on and decided to go simple and very low budget and just get a few things. I had decided to do Mickey in the beginning of December and ordered the invitations off of Etsy so I was kind of locked in to the idea. Little did I know that Noah would soon not be so Mickey crazy and would have a new fascination with the movie Cars otherwise I would have done that instead. I wish I would have known but since he is only 2, it wasn't like he was upset he had a Mickey party as a matter of fact he loved his Mickey balloons and we still have his banner up and he likes that alot as well.
Here is little man playing with his balloon before the party
Cupcake tower and cupcakes made by mom
Noah getting ready to attempt to blow out his candles. He tries but still hasn't got them himself. He is so cute when he tries to blow them.
Never really knows what to think about the smoke. The first time it scared him but he did okay that day.
Now next there should be a picture of a messy little boy from eating cake or a cupcake.. But not our Noah. Yet again this year wouldn't try any. At least he didn't cry this year like last, he just wanted down to play with cousins!
After a bit we got him to begin his long process of present opening. He got so many wonderful things and it's stressful as a parent when you child opens up his toys not knowing what their reaction will be. Some they make more of a deal than others but honestly he has played with each and every single thing he received by the next morning. He really does love all his toys! It's also hard at this age because they want to play with everything as they open it. After the first couple though he kind of got the idea that we were going to open up all the presents first before playing. Yesterday morning after church was fun he just went everywhere playing with all his different toys. Each one got a turn! Our playroom is definetly out of control now, so I'm going to have to figure out something and some way to split up these toys! I think we are going to start some sort of rotating system so they aren't all out at once! It's just too overwhelming in there and it's impossible to clean it up since there isn't room for everything!
Starting to calm down for the day and playing with some cars. Poor guy hasn't been feeling well off and on, I can't figure out if it's ears or teeth but he will just go into crying fits and hold his ears or his mouth like something hurts. And his fever has been coming and going but overall he did great for a little boy who wasn't feeling his best. We also gave him medicine right before so that didn't hurt either, haha.
It's so neat to see the excitement on his face! I loved every minute of his special day!
